Did You Say Natural Deodorant?

Brianne Davison

Natural deodorant may sound a little bit scary if you are new to the world of natural products, trust me, I was there.
When I first started working at Tiny TreeHugger I used just the 'regular' stuff that you could find at Walmart, but as I looked at some of the natural options that we carried, it became a lot less weird and a lot more "wow, why have I not made the switch sooner?"
I was given the Meow Meow Tweet Grapefruit one that is baking soda free and I fell in love. It took about four days for my body to make the switch from my regular deodorant to this natural one. It smells amazing and feels great and most importantly, it works! Meow Meow Tweet is vegan, pure and crafted by hand.

If you have made the switch to natural deodorant, but are still struggling with some sensitivity, we suggest that you try the baking soda free options. Meow Meow Tweet has taken their well-loved classic deodorant cream and made a few modifications to create this new formula, perfect for those with sensitive skin and just as effective. Designed without baking soda and clay, this recipe uses dietary magnesium, a natural mineral supplement required by every cell in the body for various metabolic processes. The magnesium combined with nourishing plant oils and butters, arrowroot powder and essential oils, keeps you smelling fresh throughout the day.
To use, gently rub a pea-sized amount into each armpit with your fingertips until fully absorbed.

Sold in 2.4 oz glass jars with biodegradable labels for only $21.00. Come visit us in store and smell the different scents that we carry (Lavender, Tea Tree and Grapefruit) and ask us about our story of making the switch.

We would love to hear from you about your experiences about going natural and which brands you use!
