Well Manitobans, it HAPPENED. A SNOW day so bad that it closed the main highway that I drive into the city on. In the 8+ years of living in the area south of the city I only recall that happening one other time many many years ago!
After a LONG RUN of the shop being open in the worst of weather [it's true, I will often drive the highway at 40-60km/hr just to come open the shop doors!], I made the decision to stay home safe & warm with my children, who's school had also been cancelled for the day! I posted on our Instagram and Facebook about our closure [see the photo HERE of the view out my front door and the official closure announcement here], neglecting to update our website and also asking close locals to place a sign on our door.
For anyone who happened to venture out in the bitter cold and winds yesterday, my apologies for not making it more known on our website & shop door that we had closed for the day! See, I am human and make mistakes but it is certainly on my list next time if we happen to have to close! I know that bundling up little ones in our crazy cold prairie weather isn't ideal and we will strive to make it easier on you next time.
In lieu of being closed yesterday we are offering FREE SHIPPING on orders over $50 with in Manitoba - use the code SNOWDAY upon checkout. Expires Monday night.
For locals who make it out of the house today [Friday January 13th] we are offering 30% off any one item! Normal exclusions apply [Tula, S'well, Kate&Norah Co, not to be combined with reward redemptions].
Again, our apologies if you happened to try to come to the shop yesterday! We are certainly looking forward to the warmer weather to come. Have a lovely week!
